This campground was clean and well kept up. Our center pull-through space didn't allow for an awning to be put out, but the length allowed us to leave the tow vehicle parked behind without unhooking. We stayed 3 nights to visit close by National Parks within easy driving time. There is shopping in Cedar City. We would stay again.
There is grass and shade at the sites in this primitive campground. The campground host was friendly, knowledgable about what to see and do in the area. There is a general store available. The historical sites were open for viewing, plus an apple orchard complete with wild deer eating the apples. Enjoyed our stay.
For a primitive campground it was very clean. No shade, but each site has a pavilion and wind breaker. A dump station and potable water is available. Pulled our 38-foot rig into our site without a problem. Nice tent sites are also available. The road construction leading to Goblin Valley, yielded some delays. There are no services available in area, so gas up and bring whatever you need.
An oasis in the middle of the desert with green grass and shade trees at each site. It's next to Green River Golf course and Green River, both of which can be accessed from campground. Golf summer special: $20 all day with a cart. Played as much as I could for the time we were there. It's convenient to several National Parks. Watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew melons are grown in area and can be purchased reasonably. The evenings cool down to 60-70 degrees, with daytimes in the 90's. Am going back next year for a couple of weeks of golf.
It has beautiful views. It has a great location for Glacier National Park. HOWEVER, Sites were so small you couldn't put out an awning as there was only a 8' space between sites. Advertised as having WiFI, but you have to go to a hotspot in the Office as only 10 sites near office had Wi Fi. The entrance had dumpsters with no lids and trash spilled out, maintenance area. Be aware there is no Phone Service in Area.
It is WONDERFUL! We spent a week there enjoying the area. The park has beautiful spacious sites where you are not crammed in together. A bery Friendly town. There is a great Scrapbooking store on 3rd street. We are voing back next year.
1st site hookups were not working. Sites were not mowed, grass was up to bench on table that needed a lot of TLC. Shade?????? Old abandoned trailers and motorhomes with high grass was in last rows. Older couple trying, but can't keep up the park by self. Son suppose to take over. Would not stay again.
The campground hosts were very helpful last year, so we are going back for 3 months in Sept.-Nov. 2009. Spaces are small for slideouts and awning, but the area is beautiful clay mountains. There are lots of hiking and biking trails, St. George minutes away. Don't miss the hike to the Volcano top.
Love to fish? This is the place for you. The White River sites are fantastic, swimming in river not recommended below dam. Activities are weekly with Gaston Visitor Center full of information. Tje Guides were very helpful, the Park Rangers made our stay very pleasant.
